Florida City Named One Of The Best To Move To In The U.S. (ESPN Report)
Fifty Grande has published a list of best cities to move to, and a Florida city made the top five. “Nearly everyone has a time when they need a change of scenery: when their hometown or the place they moved after college just isn’t cutting it anymore, when they’re either getting bored, priced out or looking for a new start,” Fifty Grande explains. Their list aims to help guide those who are looking to move but don’t know where to start.
#4 Jacksonville
Fifty Grande describes how this Sunshine State city is one of the most up-and-coming areas in the state by saying, “Jacksonville’s [home costs] sit 17 percent lower than the national average with a median home cost of $295,278.” In addition, it certainly doesn’t hurt that their surfing conditions are considered some of the best in Florida as well.
The feature then points out that Jacksonville was highlighted by Biz Journals as the “third hottest job market” right now.
Furthermore, it appears the secret to Jacksonville’s overall good living conditions is out. Lawn Starter recently detailed their influx of new residents by breaking down where people are moving in from. It appears many Floridians are simply staying in the state by moving north. Perhaps the Trevor Lawrence-led Jaguars being one of the NFL’s most young and exciting teams has inspired some Jaguars fans to move closer to the team’s stadium.
EZ Home Search laid out the best eight neighborhoods last fall. They state Avondale, San Marco, and Jacksonville Beach are areas to consider in this Florida city.
Jacksonville was only edged out by three cities. Those cites are all in more central regions of the country. Chattanooga, Tennessee, ranked as the best place to move to. Cincinnati, Ohio and Colorado Springs, Colorado ranked second and third, respectively.
